Role Description

We are seeking a Data Center Project Manager for a full-time, hybrid role based in Hickory, NC, combining on-site project oversight with remote coordination. The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of data center infrastructure projects. Key responsibilities include managing project timelines, ensuring budget compliance, coordinating resources, expediting equipment and material delivery, conducting site inspections, and improving logistics processes.

This role requires hands-on experience in construction environments and a strong understanding of fiber optic cabling systems, including installation, routing, and coordination with field teams. The Project Manager will maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams, ensuring that projects meet specified requirements, quality standards, and construction best practices.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Expediting and Expeditor functions, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment
• Strong Project Management skills, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget oversight
• Experience with Inspection processes to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
• Knowledge of Logistics Management to streamline supply chain operations and delivery schedules
• Proven experience in construction project management, preferably in commercial or data center environments
• Hands-on experience with fiber optic cabling systems, including installation, testing, and troubleshooting
• Exceptional organizational, time-management, and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
• Experience in data center or low-voltage infrastructure projects is highly desirable
• PMP Certification or other relevant project management certification is a plus
