Preschool Teacher – Shepherd's Flock Preschool
$22.50 per hour | Full-Time Days
Arlington Heights, IL

Shepherd's Flock Preschool is seeking a passionate Preschool Teacher to join our award-winning intergenerational preschool program located on the campus of Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights.   • Schedule: Full-time position with a rotating schedule between 7:00 AM–3:00 PM and 10:00 AM–6:00 PM. Candidates must be available to work both shifts as part of the rotation.

What You'll Do

  • Foster a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children ages 3.5-5 years old
  • Integrate teaching skills with the values and principles of a mission-driven organization
  • Provide children with a well-rounded and developmentally appropriate educational experience
  • Support each child's growth through intentional interactions, care, and guidance
  • Participate in intergenerational programming opportunities with older adults
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members

Required Qualifications

  • At least a two-year degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with coursework such as Human Growth and Development, Lifespan Development, or similar
  • 1-3 years of early childhood education or childcare experience preferred
  • Early Childhood Education Level 3 certification completed or willingness to obtain after hire
