Job Description

Responsibilities

• Ensures product quality by inspecting output, verifying conformance to specifications, and directing machine setup and adjustments
• Plans and manages workflow by reviewing production schedules, estimating labor needs, and adjusting procedures to meet deadlines
• Drives continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to production methods, equipment performance, and overall product quality
• Improves efficiency and safety by suggesting changes to working conditions, resolving work issues, and coaching employees through problem‑solving
• Maintains accurate documentation including time and production records, shift reports, incidents, and accidents
• Collaborates cross‑functionally to coordinate production activities with other departments and support achievement of production goals and KPIs

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a plant or manufacturing environment, ideally within steel, slitting, coil coating, or related operations
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in process control; exposure to Cut‑to‑Length, Slitter, or Embosser lines is a plus.
• Willingness to work long or irregular hours based on production needs, including afternoon or night shifts
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred

Salary: $65k - $75k
